    Ferdinand Magellan led the first expedition to circumnavigate
    the globe, but was killed by a poison arrow (April 27,1521)
    before the voyage was completed.

    Yes, the Ferdinand Magellan Railcar was the Air Force One of its day. It was only 10 feet wide but had lavish interiors. Below is the recent spread on Architectural Digest devoted to what is now the only passenger railcar designated a Historic Landmark. If you click on the slideshow tab, you will see more pictures of the interiors.
