    Morrison's father, Admiral George Morrison, was born in Rome, Georgia. Morrison himself was born in Melbourne, Florida, died in Paris, France, and is buried in Pere Lachaise cemetery alongside luminaries such as Isadora Duncan, Honore de Balzac, George Bizet, Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde, among others.
