    An anti-malarial drug also used for treating nocturnal leg
    cramps and arthritis.

    		Quinine. (In theory, at least. You never know what they put in things now. 'Flavourings.') The G&T apparently originated in India when British residents started to mix their quinine anti-malarial tonic with gin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinine
    Baloo's first experience of it was at about 4 (tonic water not G&T!). I had what was supposed to be a lemonade and complained bitterly about the taste. Took a bit before anyone believed me and I got a real lemonade instead. Now, I like the stuff....
