    Is it true that Karnataka state in 2002 received Rs.72 crores as revenue from temples, out of that returned Rs.10 crores for temple maintainence and granted Rs.50 crores for madrasas and Rs.10 crores for churches?

    Yes, this seems to be true. As per Govt of Karnataka revenue allocation statement issued by Chief Minister's office, the total revenue from temples (2002-03) was Rs.79 crores, disbursements to madrasas, mosques and haj was Rs.58 crores, for churches and christian institutions total disbursement was Rs.12.75 crores and the funds released for temple renovation for was Rs.7.1 crores
