    It would be my home town. Obama is a city in the Wakasa area of Fukui Prefecture in Japan. "Facing Wakasa Bay due north of Kyoto and Nara, the city is about four to five hours by train from Tokyo, and is served by the Obama Line of West Japan Railway (JR West)."

    Yes, Obama means "small/little beach" in Japanese. The US Presidential candidate Obama thanked the people of the fishing town of Obama for a gift they sent him.
