The Irish are not exactly known as sun-worshippers, at least not with all that rain! Yet Ireland won the race to the sun for eight consecutive years. Who and what was it they won?

The Paris-Nice bicycle race, also known as "the race to the sun." Irish riders won the race from 1981 to 1988.

Hey we Irish, just love the sun.. from Spain to Dubai, Bondi,Malibu, If the sun shines there we will be there.. the race for the sun is not only given over to teh bike race but to the exodus of Irish sun worshippers from the soggy green isle..:)
