    		The Toucouleur Empire was a 19th century empire in Mali, founded by El Hadj Umar Tall of the Toucouleur people.

    		It is also known as the Tijaniyya Jihad state and was founded in the nineteenth century by El Hadj Umar Tall of the Toucouleur people, in part of present-day Mali.
    The last ruler of Toucouleur Empire was Ahmadu Tall, who fled from the kingdom when it was attacked by French forces allied with the rival Bambara kingdom.
