    		The Trucial States are better known today as the United Arab
    Emirates.

    Abu Dhabi is, by far, the largest of the emirates by area.
    Dubai is slightly larger by population than Abu Dhabi.(2007)

    		Otherwise known as the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi is the largest of the seven sheikhdoms by area.

    		The "Trucial states" is an entity which no longer exists.
    It lasted from 1853 to 1971. Now the country (or union) is called United Arab Emirates.
