    		The link is the hippopotamus.

    David Nott is a surgeon who performed live-saving surgury on a 16 year old boy after he was bitten by a hippopotamus. Since he had never done a forequarter amputation, he received instructions via text messages.

    Monifa is a rare pigmy hippo that was born in the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia, in Nov. 2008.

    Dr David Nott is a British surgeon who was volunteering in the Democratic Republic of Congo where he encountered a 16 year old boy who had been bitten by a hippopotomus while fishing. Dr Nott said, "In the UK you'd need an intensive care unit to do [the operation]", but he completed the major surgery in an elemantary operating theatre with only one pint of blood available!
