How strong is the world's strongest beetle and what is its name?

    Question #101772. Asked by FISHFREAK7. (Dec 17 08 11:26 PM)

    BRY2K

The name of the strongest beetle is the rhinoceros beetle.

They are among the largest of beetles, and their common name refers to the characteristic horns borne by the males of most species in the group.

It is said that they can carry up to 850 times their own weight. Here is some rationale for this clain: "we are not comparing the actual weight that it can lift. Instead, we are comparing how much an animal can carry relative to its own weight. Elephants can carry up to 25% of their own weight on their backs, camels about 20%, leaf-cutting ants about 30 times their own weight, and rhinoceros beetles about 850 times"!

I'm looking for the name of a TV mini series movie/show. We had rented them from the video store. It's about a boy who is traveling to different worlds looking for pieces of a machine to get him back home (I think.) He is gathering something along his way. He travels to different worlds with a "professor" and maybe another person. Along the way he visits 5-8 different worlds (each was a different movie.) They were all entitled "Somebody and the Land of ???" One world had to do with giant eggs, one world a town of toys, and the end was a land something like a fantasy "Camelot." My children watched these movies anywhere from 1988 - 1993. I'm hoping someone can help me end my frazzled search.
