In the history of the Rose Parade, how many times was the parade not held on January 1st?

    Question #102044. Asked by david1975. (Jan 01 09 10:07 AM)

The parade is never held on a Sunday; therefore every time Jan 1 has fallen on a Sunday since 1893, the parade was held Monday (Jan 2) instead. (Note - the parade was first held in 1890; the "Never on Sunday" rule was added in 1893).

Forgive me if my math is wrong, but that should be every 6 years that January 1st falls on a Monday, so from 1893 to 2009, that would make it... 19 times. (But I could be way wrong)
