    		This link only refers to Serbia becoming a CANDIDATE to join the EU, many years away from becoming an actual member. Other current candidates include Croatia, Macedonia and Turkey.

    		The most likely country to become a EU member in 2009 is Iceland. Croatia is scheduled to a membership in 2010.
    No one knows if this is really going to happen, though.
