    John William Waterhouse is possibly the artist you have in mind, although Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Arthur Hughes also portrayed the Fair Rosamund embowered at Woodstock by Henry II

    Yes, 22, and very nice links!

    (After posting I realized the art reference was vague, and I'd left out the Woodstock Festival I'd intended to entwine! So much for late-night posting.)

    Any number of people have painted this legendary figure who plays so prominently in the tales of medieval courtly love. The painting I actually had in mind is by William Bell Scott and pictures her amidst the roses.
