    How do you count a dotted eighth sixteenth note in 6/8 time?

    		Depends on the speed of the piece. In something along the lines of the dotted rhythms in the opening movement of Beethoven's 7th symphony, the dotted quaver-semiquaver rhythms count up to a total of two thirds of a beat in a two-beat bar for each occurence. If the music is of a slower nature (as in the slow movement of Mozart's 36th symphony), then they count up to a total of two beats in a six-beat bar.
