    		The favorite plant in Burma/Myanmar is Bohdda Tharant (Canna Indica)named for its seeds which are used as beads for a rosary. Flowers are red or white. Buddha's evil cousin Dewadat rolled down a huge stone which broke into pieces and one of them bruised Buddha's toe, drew few drops of blood from which the sacred flower emerged.
