Most sources i checked claim that the only factors to keep Lindbergh awake during the 33 hour flight were his training of long periods of sleeplessness, and using the wind and wave spray by lowring the plane's altitude from time to time. In any case, usage of drugs or alcohol is negated. It is also mentioned that he actually did fall asleep for a few minutes during the flight.
