The Plaza I can't speak for but the Texas School Book Depositiory from which Oswald shot JFK is a historic site. My friend was there and described to me how the exact window location on the 6th floor from which Ozwald fired the gun is preserved exactly as law enforcement found it and is coverered with a hard clear plastic for protection.

If you are ever in Dallas check it out.

Not really, although a small "x" was painted on Elm Street to mark approximately one of the bullet strikes.
"In 1993 it was declared a National Historic District, so nothing can be changed here. This, combined with the city's original let's-ignore-this attitude, has kept Dealey Plaza almost exactly as it was in 1963 -- instantly recognizable to all conspiracy buffs and aging New Frontiersmen and women. You can sprawl on the grassy knoll (and keep an eye out for overlooked cartridge casings) or try to spot the small "x" on the Elm Street pavement that marks the spot where at least one bullet hit the President."

The "x" on the road can be seen in the satellite view on Google Maps and on Google Earth.

The "sniper's nest" is the highlight here, sealed off behind plexiglass and reconstructed just the way that Oswald supposedly had arranged it. Views from adjacent windows on The Sixth Floor -- and now available to all via a 24-hour live web cam -- show that Oswald would have had an easy shot, straight ahead, as the motorcade drove at him on Houston Street. It makes one wonder why he instead waited until the motorcade had driven past, and was speeding away on Elm Street, just opposite the grassy knoll....
