False. First, only four presidents have been assassinated and killed.Also, there have only been four presidents to die while in office due to other causes. However, from 1840, on this is true. No. In the first place, Thomas Jefferson was elected in 1800, whereas the 'Curse of Tippecanoe' (as it is known by) only originated in 1811, named after the battle of Tippecanoe. However, in the years between 1840-1960 it is true. The 'curse' was broken in 1980, when Ronald Reagan survived an assassination attempt by John W. Hinckley, Jr. Also, George W.
