    		For one: Abdalá Bucaram (Lebanese origin), former President of Ecuador. Also, Antonio Saca (Palestinian origin), current President of El Salvador. Jacobo Majluta and Salvador Jorge Blanco (Syrian origin), were both former Presidents of the Dominican Republic.

    		Julio César Turbay Ayala (June 18, 1916 – September 13, 2005) was president of Colombia from 1978 to 1982.

    Turbay was son of Antonio Turbay, a businessman from Tannourine, Lebanon.
