It depends...
I doubt anyone can define a totally honest score, as there is a cheat which allows a virtually infinite score. The maximum the game will allow is 999,999,999, after that it loops back to zero and starts again. See this video:

Dang, my computer won't allow YouTube!

My record is just over 12,000,000. I didn't know about any cheats, or what the highest score possible was, but this definitely helps. Thanks Al and Mark. :-)
