Leading for a record-setting time a city with a Native American name, this is a woman whose vigor belies her age. She's no Marilyn Monroe, but something there is. What?

Question #103547. Asked by queproblema. (Mar 04 09 9:06 PM)

    gonnzo

Mississauga, Ontario is led by Mayor Hazel McCallion.

"Marilyn Monroe" refers to an original 1959 Barbie doll, worth $10,000, on display at a doll store there to celebrate the doll's 50th anniversary.

Great start, Gonnzo! I was hoping a Canuck would get this one. But there's a very different Marilyn Monroe.

(Just saw a Rick Mercer clip of "Hurricane Hazel" today. Is Sarah Palin going to be like that 45 years hence?)

    Ok.

Here's winking at you, Gonnzo, great job! ;)

Marilyn, officially known as "Absolute World South," is still under construction and should be finished this year.

Lots of interesting links at the bottom of this article, including the fact she's already on GoogleEarth by means of a 3D model, and that their giving her a "mate."
