How much water is used to produce one sheet of A4 paper?

Question #10476. Asked by Antoinette. (Feb 15 01 8:46 AM)

There is no correct answer here depends on several factors, type of equipment used, what type of paper it is made and basis weight of the sheet among other things. Typical numbers are that it requires between 2000 and 10,000 gallons of water to manufacture a ton of paper.
