Despite three English teams and a Spanish team making up the final four, France provided the most players with nine (Eric Abidal and Thierry Henry at Barcelona; Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda at Chelsea; Patrice Evra at Man Utd; Bakary Sagna, Mikael Silvestre, Abou Diaby and Samri Nasri at Arsenal).
There were eight Spaniards (six at Barcelona) and only seven Englishman who played any part of the first leg games.
