New Monument to Homosexuals Killed in the Holocaust
Wednesday May 21, 2008
This winter, a new memorial will be dedicated in Gan Meir in Tel Aviv, Israel to the homosexual victims of the Holocaust. Designed by Ron Assouline of the firm Filmind, the monument will be constructed of three, partially-buried panels, representative of the triangle homosexuals were forced to wear in Nazi camps. The three panels will surround a pit that will have light coming out of it. Although not all the names of homosexual victims are known, the names of the registered victims will be inscribed on the memorial in Hebrew.
