    		The team that won a race with the smallest margin was in season 2 - Chris and Alex overtook Tara in a footrace to the finish and so beat Tara and Wil by only 20 seconds. Similarly, in season 6, Freddy and Kendra defeated Kris and Jon by only 35 seconds.

    No official figures have been made public regarding the teams with the biggest margin at the finish line. Fans of 'The Amazing Race' speculate that CBS edits the footage of the final leg so that even those easy victories appear close, thus adding to the suspense of the show.
