    What did Little Pete never go without?

    		He was always wearing his red checkered hat. I deduced my answer from the different pictures I saw on various websites, each of which showed Little Pete's character wearing the same checkered hat.

    		19th Century San Francisco Crime Boss Fung Jing Toy, aka "Little Pete", wore chain mail and a metal-reinforced hat when he ventured outside because there was a tremendous bounty on his head. He also had two pistols, two attack dogs, and 3 bodyguards with him. He also slept in a windowless bolted-shut room.

    Didn't matter, he was gunned down anyway; the assassin grabbed his queue in a barbershop and simply aimed his gun down Little Pete's neck, under the chain mail.
