Which company has the most gas stations in the United States and approximately how many are there?

Question #10596. Asked by Iretobo. (Feb 20 01 6:59 PM)

    Moleman

I have spent some time on this, but I don't have all the answers.

Exxon - the biggest - sorry haven't found a number.
    Texaco - 23,000
    Mobil - 15,000
    Citgo - 13,000
    Shell - 10,000
    Conoco - 7,000
    Phillips - 6,500
    Ultramer - 6,000
    BP - I haven't found a number

But since Exxon and Mobil joined, they must be the biggest.
