    		Two interesting anecdotes from my memory:

    1. Regarding Wales' qualification to the 1958 World Cup is that they actually failed to qualify to the tournament. However, since Israel has qualified without playing a single game as they were boycoted by all of their oponents (!), FIFA decided that Israel will have to play-off against the best European non-qualifier, which was Wales. As far as i recall, Wales beat Israel twice by the score 2:0 eventually qualifying and reaching as far as the quarterfinals.

    2. The goalscorer for Brazil in the quarterfinal match was a 17-year-old youngster by the name of Pele. This was his first ever World Cup goal.
