Aladdin King of Thieves would be my best guess.

Well, "Aladdin" made $504,050,219, while "Aladdin: King of Thieves" made about $186 million, with a difference of about $318 million, so that is probably not correct.

Must say that a search through the link http://www.boxofficemojo.com showed me there was no 'Rocky' released in '96: they went this way = Rocky ?, Rocky II, '79 release for about $117 million plus, Rocky III in '82 for about $122m plus and so on.
All I can find of interest to me are the series of Star Trek movies. BUT THEY GO BACKWARD THAN THE SEQUENCE YOU WANT '79, which got about $82+ million, then a succession of about seven altogether.
In 1996, 'Star Trek: First Contact' (one of the first sequels of a movie made from that TV show) made about $92+ million, then the sequel of that sequel, just released and going strong is

Got cut off again by clumsy hands here, sorry. Anyway, they are usually going BACKWARD than you're asking for: the '96 Star Trek movie: 'First Contact' made about $92+ million and now the movie just released this summer or spring has already made over $225+ million as a very-far removed sequel - in fact, it's a prequel - which makes this all kinda' circular anyway, doesn't it?
That's all I know, and a very fun and informative (and free) site to use to learn a lot about movies.
Just want you to know I saw no 'Rocky' feature made in '96, going backward, forward or where no man has gone before.
