    On January 1, 2010, the municipality of Vaals, Netherlands will technically be relinquishing the claim to fame that the Vaalserberg gives them to another municipality. What's the claim to fame and which municipality will be taking it?

    		The Vaalserberg is currently the highest point in the Netherlands.

    There is an agreement in place for islands in the Netherlands Antilles to become separate municipalities in the Netherlands, but the date has not been set in stone.

    If it were to happen, the highest point would then be Mount Scenery on the island of Saba.

    		They did set the date back in December of 2008 to be Jan 1,2010, but you're right it's subject to them getting it done. They already delayed it once, and Curacao has already said its planned conversion (to an autonomous country within the Kindgom a la Aruba) will most likely be delayed. It's kind of the like the switch to digital or passport requirements here in the U.S., when it happens it happens.

    Mt. Scenery is on Saba huh, wonder what the name of their capital city is...
