    Igor Stravinsky.

"On April 15, 1940, Stravinsky's unconventional major seventh chord in his arrangement of the Star-Spangled Banner led to his arrest by the Boston police for violating a federal law that prohibited the reharmonization of the National Anthem."

Amazing isn't it. Surely, much of the drivel that gets passed off today for the National Anthem of the United States at sports games would be guilty of the same "reharmonizations."

Nevertheless, Stravinsky's arrangement is amazing and is still my favorite to this day. I couldn't find any links to a recording of it, but it is available on iTunes.

Oh, and you gotta love the mugshot!
