    Why do Americans drive on the right side of the road while Europeans drive on the left?

    		Europeans drive on the right side also. Great Britain is the ONLY European country where cars drive on the left side.

    LOoking at this map it seems that most of the former British colonies drive on the left, the only other major country is Japan.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driving_on_the_left

    		The UK is not the only country with left side driving in Europe.

    Quoting the last reference: Today, only four European countries drive on the left: Cyprus, Ireland, Malta, and the United Kingdom.
