What is the difference between intelligence and wisdom?

I understand intelligence to mean the ability to assimilate knowledge, not the store of knowledge itself. This difference is why IQ tests that merely test the store can give misleading results.

One definition of "wisdom" is "knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action."

Reminds me of the definition I was given in college of the difference between a smart person and a clever or wise person: "The clever person knows how to get out of trouble that the smart person knows not to get into."
