Not having seen the movie and having to rely on the internet, I'm only finding: "After dinner, Peter takes Rachel back to his hotel room to have sex. Sarah, who is in the room next to his, overhears them and starts to do the same with Aldous. Peter and Rachel hear them and join in the yelling, playing along like it's a game."
So far, it doesn't sound like Peter was "bumped" from his room.
"Peter is finally pulled out of his downward misery spiral by a beautiful hotel receptionist named Rachel (Mila Kunis), who sets him up in a $6000-a-night suite that happens to be going unused (sure) and then guides him out onto the local party circuit."
So, is Sarah in one of the rooms that is considered part of Peter's suite?

He stays in the 6K suite for a couple of days, but then he is bumped from it and has to take a room next to Sarah, where the scene you describe happens. He is told to move because someone needs the suite. As an incredibly talented owl would say: "which someone?"

When Peter is told he has to leave the first hotel room because Dakota Fanning needs it, he is laying in bed, and the blankets that cover him up switch from off to on to off again.

An even more talented owl would say: "Quite right my dear"
