This album, as first named, was released in late July and renamed (eponymously) after 9/11 (a very short span of time there), got folks interested almost immediately: but the band had no money after leaving the Capitol label until they signed with Dream Works (because a few tours don't get a band studio time; they were "scraping pennies together" to get some in Pomona, CA, US) This album didn't go platinum -selling at least 1 million- until it was re-released as "Bleed American: The Deluxe Edition" in 2008.
