What is the smallest incorporated city in the United States in area?

Question #106880. Asked by serpa. (Jul 06 09 7:34 AM)

I would submit West New York in New Jersey (but I stand to be corrected).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), of which, 1.0 square miles (2.6 km2) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 km2) of it (23.48%) is water.
