In simple words can someone explain to me why in some countries Prime Minister has the power, whereas, in other nations President holds the most powerful position? Example: In Pakistan the President has the power while in India the Prime Minister has the power?

Not necessarily so. Very simply, presidents, like kings, can be executive or ceremonial. Note too that India does not have QE II as head of state. There is a president. http://presidentofindia.nic.in/
