Which TV Indian tribe got its name after falling over a cliff?

Question #107008. Asked by Datsmeharse. (Jul 11 09 9:58 AM)

Hekawe from the TV show F-Troop.

The name of the tribe that Wild Eagle belonged to was the Hekawe. In one episode it was explained that the name came about by two Indians falling off a cliff and one asking "Where the heck are we?"

Interesting similarity to the name of a short African tribe living in very long grass, who shout their tribal name as a war-cry while jumping up and down. Possibly by coincidence, their name starts with the letter of F-Troop. (No, I'm NOT posting a reference.....)
