A sketch of Chaucer’s whippletree blossoms by this head designer who is no more, was recently turned into a precious spouted container by a similarly precious company wherein one could browse but probably not have breakfast. What container?

    Question #107024. Asked by edmund80. (Jul 12 09 1:30 AM)

A watering Can with a dogwood motif was offered earlier this year by Tiffany and Co., for the flowery price of 35K USD.
The design was from a sketch by 19th century Tiffany head designer Edward C. Moore. (He was one of the Co.)

Whippletree is another name for dogwood.

Watering Can reference, picture seems to be on the blink:

    Excellent job!

Also: "Another earlier name of the dogwood in English is the whipple-tree. Geoffrey Chaucer uses the word whippletree in the Canterbury Tales (The Knight's Tale, verse 2065) to refer to the dogwood."
