    Do cows eat meat?

    		Until 1997, it was common to supplement cattle feed with meat and bone meal made from animal carcasses, including sheep and other cows. Some experts speculate that this practice enabled a form of the disease found in sheep to make the jump to cows, causing BSE.

    		Cattle are often raised by allowing herds to graze on the grasses of large tracts of rangeland. Raising cattle in this manner allows the use of land that might be unsuitable for growing crops.

    		Yes, cows will eat meat, hide and bones of any dead animals left in their paddocks
