What would our solar system be like if Jupiter was 80 times larger than its current mass?

Question #107169. Asked by unclerick. (Jul 18 09 5:29 AM)

This site says that the Sun is only ten times larger that Jupiter. So, if Jupiter was to increase in mass by 80 times that would make it 70 times larger than the Sun.

This would have a huge effect on the gravitational pull in the Solar System. All the planets would go spinning out of their orbits. Life as we know it on Earth would cease. Let's hope that this does not happen.
