Is there any reason that the crosses on top of some churches face in different directions, such as west, east, north or south? Is it denominational?

I dont think there is really a reason that they do that, it's just how they put them, but maybe if they are a Mormon church or something like that , they may face their cross a different way, as part of their religion.
