Is there a car ferry service between the United States and Europe?

Whilst it is not what is generally considered a ferry service in the traditional sense, Wallenius Wilhelmsen run RO-RO (rollon-rolloff) services between the US and Europe. They appear to focus on bulk transport of new cars, but, according to this thread: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/trip-transport/ro-ro-ships-between-europe-39839
they do appear to make arrangements for single vehicles (a motorcycle in the case mentioned).
These questions are based on Gary Paulsen's book called "The Car." This was a very interesting book and I think that any reader would like it. I liked it a lot and I hope that you did too. Do your best and good luck.
