    Yes. Greenback is one of the nicknames for the U.S. dollar:

    Also, buck, paper, scrillas, bones, dough, green, and greenback, Washingtons, Jeffersons, Lincolns, Benjamins, and Hamiltons are used based on denomination; also peso in Puerto Rico, and piastre in Cajun Louisiana...among others.

    About a third of the way down this page is a picture of a $5 note you can click on to enlarge. This photo is a bit washed out; the paper actually had a greenish tinge, I believe.
