    Is there a U.S. state where the minimum wage is equal to or higher than the cost of living?

    		Colorado has an annual adjustment to its minimum wage for the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Denver metro area:

    According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the CPI is called a "cost of living" index, althought the latter would include intangibles such as environmental and governmental factors. These factors wouldn't be included in a straight monetary "cost of living".
