    What is a good way to get rid of static from your hands?

    		I've used a 1 megohm resistor connected to earth (ground) when I was getting rather charged up by a copier. This discharges the static slower than if you just touched something earthed (or uncharged - you can get a shock by touching something that's not earthed if it's at a lower charge than you are). If 1 meg isn't slow enough, try higher ones till you're suited. No outside reference - personal experience and electronics training.

    I have two sculptures both of which are of a man sitting cross-legged and bent over so far that his hands are on his knees and his face is hidden in his hands. He essentially forms a ball.
