How many in 10 women end up marrying an eligible man they date for three months?

    Question #108677. Asked by 4FunAlways. (Sep 09 09 10:22 PM)

As it's almost impossible to define 'eligible' so as to be meaningful generally, I doubt there's going to be an answer. That's even assuming someone has managed to collect data that doesn't get into the marriage registers or censuses anyway. Eligibility isn't a pre-requisite for a legal marriage, and length of courtship is not usually recorded either. If this has appeared the other way round ('3 out of 10 women end up....) in a book of lists of on a radio trivia quiz, then the figure they supply is extremely doubtful - especially if no reference is given. Take a tip from Baloo - never NEVER trust books of lists or DJs when it comes to accuracy of information.
