Does the Eastern border of Poland today follow the Curzon line?

Question #108956. Asked by author. (Sep 18 09 8:28 PM)

The answer depends on which Curzon Line you are referring to. The boundaries of the Curzon Line were changed in 1944 by the Soviet Union when they recaptured eastern Poland from the Axis. Therefore, the pre-war Curzon Line did not match today's eastern Polish border while the Curzon Line set by the Soviets and agreed to by the Allies in 1945 does.
