    Then there's also Reginald, and The Unbearable Bassington himself http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saki And probably hundreds more - I notice we're all posting British writers' characters so far. There must be countless more from the USA, France, Germany and Russia (not denigrating the smaller countries and those whose literature of this period is less well known in English speaking regions.) If a particular character is sought, might we have a narrowing-down clue? Or if characters in general are sought, let's be having the rest of 'em.....
