    In what movie did Reese's Pieces score a major marketing victory over M&Ms?

    		Q: What kind of candy did the children use to lure in ET?
    A: It was Reese's Pieces. At the time it was a pretty new product. They wanted to use M&Ms but M&M/Mars didn't agree. No one really knows why. It could have been anything from budget concerns to not liking the movie.

    Hershey was offered the starring candy role and said yes. Their sales tripled almost overnight.
